EZ Scrape™

EZ Scrape™

Suitable for most 175 RPM rotary floor machines, the EZ Scrape quickly and easily removes multi-purpose adhesives, drywall mud, paint and even bitumen-based (black ‘tarry’ product) residue from smooth concrete surfaces.

  • The EZ Scrape is one of the most cost efficient ways to remove a host of product remnants from smooth concrete surfaces
  • Not recommended for removal of debris from wood floors. For that, we recommend the 20 lb. Buffer Mate
  • Each of the six – 1″ square tungsten carbide scraping blocks are spring mounted on a cast aluminum disc which fits most 175 RPM 1½HP floor machines including Powr Flite, Clarke and others
  • This is a dry removal system whereby the blades reduce floor accumulations to dry, sweepable dust/shavings
  • No added chemical waste to dispose of
  • In cases such as bitumen removal, water may be applied in order to lower friction and avoid excessive heat build-up
  • A blade edge lasts about 8 hours. Since there are four edges on each of the blade’s two sides, this amounts to as much as 64 hours of cutting per set of blades

Available Disc Sizes: 13″ disc for 15″ machines, 15″ disc for 17″ units, 17″ for 19 & 20″ machines
Cutting Teeth: 1″ x 1″ x 3/16″ tungsten carbide (6/set). 3/8″ (9½mm) thickness also available
Life Expectancy: 64 hours per set (Typically 8 hours per cutting edge, of which each block has eight)
Clutch Plate: Standard, fits most rotary machines. Turn counterclockwise to attach.
Ship Dimensions (LxWxH): 4″ x 18″ x 18″ (10 x 46 x 46cm)
Weight: 12 lbs (5½Kg)
Shipping Weight: 14 lbs (6½Kg)
Warranty: 1 year

The EZ Scrape is often compared to sandpaper discs for material removal from concrete floors. For starters, sanding discs are typically manufactured for wood surfaces. Concrete prematurely wears the abrasive on discs, to the point they must be replaced too frequently. The other problem with sandpaper and screens is perhaps the biggest and most costly; material build-up. More often than not, sandpaper must be discarded long before its usable lifespan not because of wear, but due to ‘caking’ of material on the grit surface. The EZ Scrape system essentially ‘shreds’ or ‘grates’ built-up material. During the process, material is thrown aside rather than kept under the machine. This accessory, coupled with a 175 RPM floor machine, can be dangerous if used without proper supervision and care. As with any similar system, the concrete surface should be smooth and any objects such as rebar, bolts, pins, etc., should be ground down to the concrete surface level or removed altogether. Not recommended for wood floors. For removing rubber and heavy sponge residue, we recommend the Buffer Mate.
